Questions
Ask characters to join your party, charisma determines whether or not they do. Characters of great persuasion skills can encourage characters to join the cause easier.
 
 
Phone Calls
Remote communications is alien technology in the game.

The player meets a scientist who is researching alien communications. Eventually the scientist perfects a portable communication device. The scientist mass produces them. They are distributed to various military units. The player's party will be able to communicate with everyone has the device once he gets their number.

You'll be able to enter numbers into an address book.

People will be able to turn off their phones so they aren't disturbed.
