Purpose of Existence

Updated: 6/15/2004

You must have a cause, otherwise you have no purpose and should die. Characters without a cause are easier to control, many are too useless to be worth the hassle of maintaining them. Suicide? yes

suicide for no cause, because of no cause. wow. this is how you get "game over" When your character loses hope, he dies. Hope is generated by purpose. Any character that has a purpose cannot be destroyed. The method of defeat is chosen by the player and they must arrive at a creative solution to destroying the enemy's purpose of existence. This can be good or evil of course.

When you get game over, it is not merely a failure to win. It is just the end of one's journey. In your next life, your journey could be different, if you choose it to be.

Saving is automatic and continuous. In this type of game, the player's "fun" is judged by their willingness to experiment and try different paths in life. If the player follows one path all the time, their experiences will be more limited then keeping an open mind.

There is no true ending. The true ending is the one you choose, and it's duration is not predetermined.

The only constant is death, when and how it occurs may or may not be up to you.
